Pronto Joey's
Joey's TI Club
"What's happening at Joey's?"
Winter/Spring 2010
First off, I would like to thank all of our customers for helping make 2009 a memorable year at Joey’s restaurants, where in spite of a difficult economic climate, our family of restaurants all fared well, and to that we owe our thanks to our loyal customers for their continued support. 2010 promises to be an exciting year of growth and change here. We have been busy at work to bring our Spicy Sun Dried Tomato Dipping Oil to market as well as opening Joey’s Pronto Pizza, with both ventures expected to be in full swing by March.
We will once again be part of March Meatball Madness, Sunday March 28 at Drumlins as part of the benefit for the Elmcrest Children’s Center. Drop by to taste the best meatballs in CNY !
Let me tell you a little bit about our two newest ventures. We have been serving our spicy sun dried tomato dipping oil to an enthusiastic response when first introduced last Fall and ever since that time we have been working with Nelson Farms, a Cazenovia based food packer that specializes in producing New York State food products. We are in the final stages of creating labels, packaging and fine tuning of the recipe which we are aiming for a first batch to be packed and available for retail by sometime in March. Joey’s Spicy Sun Dried Tomato Dipping Oil will also proudly be a part of the Pride of NY program, and we encourage everyone to support the program and purchase foods with the Pride of NY label.
We have been busy renovating Joey's Pronto Pizza, closed since October, now set to open March 1. The building wasn’t the only thing renovated as we have also created a whole new menu that will feature NY style pizza, but also many other items including panini, burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups and more, introducing Joey’s Fresh Express with many of Joey’s classic recipes, such as lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, stuffed shells, Joey’s meatballs & sauce, all packed in convenient, microwaveable containers that you can take to your home or office to heat and eat. You can view the menu and hours of operation for Joey’s Pronto Pizza on our web site.
Joey’s cookbook continues to receive rave reviews and is selling briskly throughout CNY. Joey’s cookbook is available at many local CNY retailers including Nichols Market, Green Hills, Chanatry’s Market (in Utica), Wegman’s, Barnes & Noble, Borders Books & Music and more.
Joey’s Thousand Island Club enjoyed a record Summer at the Wellesley Island location and is closed for the winter but will re-open in May with many new additions to the already legendary dining hot spot on the St. Lawrence River. We are taking bookings for wedding banquets for 2010 and have already filled several weekends. Please call 315-482-9999 or email us.with your banquet party reservation requests.
